Collin Horvat
Senior Mechanical Engineer -
Mr. Collin Horvat is a Senior Engineer with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. He is very strong academically and has a wide range of Mechanical Engineering expertise. He has recent experience in prototyping, manufacturing, and testing in the area of renewable and alternative fuel technologies. As an expert rock-climbing instructor in his part-time, Collin has great experience teaching, leading teams, and thinking outside of the box. Collin has been a great asset to RoadNarrows on the Brain Pack grant, and presented both the Brain Pack grant and the Hekateros concept proposal at the Advanced Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) Robotics workshop and exhibition in July, 2010
Philippe Kervizic
International Business Developer -
Mr. Philippe Kervizic has a Master degree in Computer Science from the University of Brest (France) specializing in automation and embedded systems. Philippe worked for 12 years in computer science as a professional services business developer for major accounts and President of his company before joining the service robotics industry. Philippe was head of business development of POB-Technology of Lyon, France, making POB one of the leading educational robotics company in the world. Philippe is currently the owner of Robotics Business Development, a French company that specializes in service robotics and is a part time employee of RoadNarrows developing RoadNarrows' international business.
Robin Knight
Co-Founder, Co-Owner, CTO -
Mr. Robin Knight has a Masters degree in Mathematics from University of California Santa Barbara specializing in computational intelligence. Mr. Knight worked for Occidental Petroleum doing computational modeling, then held a software development position at Bell Labs for nine years before joining Qualcomm and was as a key software architect and engineering director. Mr. Knight has a passion for intelligent systems and robotics that model biological systems. He is the chief senior design and system architect of the NSF grant IIP-0848762, “STTR Phase II: General Robot Controller for Legged Mobile Robots with Integrated Open Source Software”.
Lori Kuykendall
Office & Retail Administrator -
Ms. Lori Kuykendall grew up in Loveland and attended Thompson Valley High School. She has a passion for animals and currently owns and cares for several horses. She was a veterinary technician for many years before specializing in office and facilities administration, client support, management, and bookkeeping. To continue in this specialization, she received her degree in Associate of Applied Sciences - Accounting from Front Range College with a 4.0 GPA in 2000. Ms. Kuykendall's experience in all manners of office management and bookkeeping as well as her multitasking ability are a great help to RoadNarrows as a small and diverse international high-tech business.
Daniel Packard
Robotics Software Engineer -
Mr. Daniel Packard is a graduate student studying Adaptive Complex Systems from Chalmers Tekniska Högskola, Göteborg Sweden. He has a strong background in complex software algorithms, physics, and mathematics, and is a key researcher on the GumDrops embedded cluster development.
Kim Wheeler
Co-Founder, Co-Owner, CEO -
Ms. Kim Wheeler has a Masters degree in robotics and computer vision from McGill's Centre for Intelligent Machines and worked as an Image Navigation engineer on NASA/JPL's Mars Observer mission for Malin Space Science Systems. She then worked at Qualcomm as a software test/quality engineer in the field of wireless telecommunications, then a Staff/Manager position at Ericsson. Ms. Wheeler is the Principle Investigator (PI) on the NSF grant IIP-0848762, “STTR Phase II: General Robot Controller for Legged Mobile Robots with Integrated Open Source Software”.
Brent Wilkins
Robotics Engineer & Systems Administrator -
Mr. Brent Wilkins earned his Masters of Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. Brent has great experience in robotics systems from his work on the “Good Samaritan” Urban Search and Rescue Robot during his senior design project (see: “USAR Interface Engineering Project Report”) and has experience working on a robotic manipulator arm for S.A. Robotics, Colorado.
Mikael Pryor
Visiting Researcher -
Mr. Mikael Pryor has a Master’s degree obtained from Colorado State University with a focus in robotic controls. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Colorado at Boulder with a focus in robotic controls; his research primarily concentrates on Simultaneous Localization And Mapping using color image and depth (RGBD) sensor data. Mikael has experience helping high school students with robotic competitions, and he also did an internship with JPL working on their Mars Rovers. He spends his free time playing basketball and troubleshooting computer problems for friends, family, and others.
Jessica Trujillo
Engineering & Business Administration Intern -
Ms. Jessica Trujillo is a senior at the University of Northern Colorado studying applied mathematics. At UNC, she has been involved in several UNC Robotics projects, including a rover designed for the Colorado Space Grant Rover Challenge. Her experience with computer programming and business management makes Jessica a valuable member of RoadNarrows as she helps to mediate the company’s business and research/development operations.
Maurice Woods
Technical & Business Operations -
Mr. Maurice Woods is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado. He studied physics with an emphasis in astronomy and hopes to continue on to study planetary sciences and astrophysics. Having acted as Primary Investigator in a number of engineering projects at UNC (most of which were funded by the Colorado Space Grant), Maurice has experience in project management that is used to help coordinate research and development efforts at RoadNarrows.
Philip Kulikauskas
Japanese Business Coordinator -
Mr. Philip Kulikauskas has a Bachelor's degree in Japanese from the University of Colorado at Boulder. As an undergraduate, he worked as a contractor to NOAA, where he handled documentation for the Graphical Forecast Editor Suite for the NWS. After graduation, he worked as a high school English teacher at two public schools in Kyoto, Japan. He has a broad background in technology and computers and achieved N1 qualification at the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. At RoadNarrows, Philip is responsible for handing business correspondence, translation, interpretation, and support for our Japanese clients.
