The SkewlZone™ Kord™ is the “Spinal Cord” for the Legged Robot Brain & Sensor Pack. Paired with the Korebot or Brain-Pack, the Kord provides powerful connectivity and programming power to the robot's peripheral systems of sensors and effectors via RS-232, I2C, and USB. This board has a built-in IMU 3-axis accelerometer; like the feet, the data is read via an I2C bus. The Kord is also compatible with the Khepera III and Koala in a Korebot configuration. Its a great way to add standard external sensors, accelerometer, and USB peripherals to your robot. The Kord includes a voltage regulator so the Kord plus Korebot can be powered by a 5 to 12 volt battery such as one provided by a standard biped robot. In addition, it sports some very cool programmable blue LED's that can, for example, respond automatically to the IMU data.
