Braitenberg controller performs different with Korebot II attached to Khepera III
Question:
When we put a robot with a Korebot into Braitenberg mode with the test program on the Korebot, it performs differently than a regular Khepera that is put into Braitenberg mode with the included interface program or by sending "A,0" over a serial connection. Specifically, the robot with a Korebot seems more likely to run into things and the motors seem to move in pulses rather than smoothly. Is there something that can explain the difference in performance in Braitenberg mode between a Khepera with a Korebot and one without? Is it possible the Braitenberg controller used by the Korebot test program is different than the one a Khpera without a Korebot would use? Answer: There will definitely be visible differences in behavior of the Braitenberg algorthims from robot to robot due to variances in the sensors, lighting, and many other environmental factors. - Brent |
